Southeast Scots Irish Festival and Games. For those of you who have expressed interest, here's the scoop; for those who didn't know yet – you don't want to miss out!
This year's festival and games brings a full Highland Games (75+
athletes), Piping Competition (8 bands), Sheep dog herding

Dear HFES Carolina Members and Friends –
Faculty from the College of Design at NCSU have graciously offered to give a collection of presentations on THURSDAY at NCSU. They are interested in sharing their research and design ideas with the HFES community.
As a courtesy to the HFES officers, PLEASE RSVP to Miranda if you have not already done so, even if you do not plan on attending the reception, so that we can get an approximate head count.

Dr. Sandra Garrett from the IE department will be giving a talk titled:
“Preparing for an academic career: One perspective on the job search process and surviving the first year”
Come with questions for a Q&A session.
Zaxby's chicken fingers, snack foods, and drinks will be provided.
We will also vote on the finalist of the logo competition and discuss officer nominations for 2008-2009.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. We will be meeting in Brackett Hall Room 122.

The last round of voting for the new Clemson HFES Logo has been opened. Members can view the top five in the Logo Gallery
It is necessary that you vote for or rate each logo. More stars means you really like the design. But again make sure you rate each Logo!
The design will be used on the website as well as artifacts, gifts for speakers, and t-shirts.
