This week's discussion group will be the last HFES chapter meeting of the semester. New officers will be announced and refreshments will be provided. We will also kick off the 'Summer Bad Designs on Campus Competition'.
Also, we will have a featured speaker, Julian Sanchez, speaking at the meeting. Below is more information about his talk:
Title: Agriculture, NextGen, and 'Go-Green': Common Threads and HF Research Opportunities
Bio: Julian Sanchez is a Senior Human Factors Engineer at the MITRE Corporation, where he conducts Human Factors research to develop and evaluate Air Traffic Control technologies that will facilitate the transition to the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). Prior to joining MITRE, Dr. Sanchez worked for John Deere, where he was involved with the integration of automated systems into agricultural vehicles. He received his PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Engineering Psychology.
